ニルス・パトリック・ヨハンソンの暑さも全開！
前作のCloudbreakerも良いけど、こちらも劣らず好きです。

Astral Doorsの代表曲だと思う。

演奏はそつないが、曲が良いため、正統派で案外ひねりのない音楽性が逆に真正面から勝負する気迫に転化していて素晴らしい。

それを可能たらしめるのは、何と言ってもニルス・パトリック・ヨハンソンの凄まじい歌唱。ディオに声質が似ているだけでなく、楽曲のイメージを完璧に支配する叩き潰すような強引さ、「俺が主役だ！」という感じですね。

余りの迫力に震えが来るほど凄まじいヴォーカルです！

評価の高いボーカル、実は個人的にはうまいとは思うけど声質的にそんなに好みではないのですが、それ以上に曲がいい。

前作に比べ若干ダークな雰囲気になったけど、なんつってもパトリックのヴォーカルでしょ!
トニーマーティンにそっくりだし歌うますぎ。メロがストレートだから聴きやすい。

アルバムの1曲目。勿論勢いのある曲です。(笑)
やっぱり素晴らしいよ、このバンド。
これ以上ないってくらい正統的なHR/HMで、ヘヴィでカッコいいリフ、歌メロはフックがあって、ヨハンソンの歌は言うに及ばず。
ギターソロは速弾きありメロディあり、さらにはバックもカッコいいんで非常にグーよ、グー。
あんま聴こえないけど、それでも良い味出すオルガンがまた最高!

いやぁ、格好良い!!あんた格好良いよ、ニルス・パトリック・ヨハンソン!!
WUTHERING HEIGHTSで初めて聴いて惚れ込み、SPACE ODYSSEYでさらにさらに惚れ込み(WUTHERING HEIGHTSのアルバムの方が好きだけどね)、でこの曲を聴いたみた。
あぁ、もう格好良い!!メタルを聴く人じゃないと、むしろそうであっても「暑苦しいよ」と言われそうな声だけど、そんな意見は耳に入ってきません。(笑)このパワフルな歌唱に心底惚れ込んでます!!パワフル一辺倒しか出来ないわけじゃないしね。
曲はというと、それも王道を行くHR/HM!!疾走感が最高ですね!!
ベースは音もしっかり聴こえるし音色もフレーズも良いってんだから最高!
ギターソロもリッチーを想起させる感じで良い!
サビでの「予想より一発多いシンバル」もすげぇ格好良い!!
魅力的な楽曲、インスト陣の確かな演奏力、そしてパワフルなヴォーカル、まさにHR/RMの理想系!!
いやぁ、ホント格好良いわ、これ!

アルバムのオープニングをかざるタイトル・チューン。
程好い疾走感とメロディアスなヴォーカル・ラインがまさしく様式美です・・・と書くとなんかお約束のパターンのように思われるかもしれませんが(そういう点もあるにはあるケド)、バンドの演奏は間違い無く一級品です。
