解説
2012年10月9日、Hundred Handed/Everything Evilよりリリースされた6thアルバム。
ダブルアルバムの片割れ(第1部)であり、翌年リリースされた7thアルバム『The Afterman: Descension』が続編にあたる。
両者は同時にレコーディングされており、バンドはレコーディングに約7か月を費やした。
2005年の『Good Apollo, I'm Burning Star IV, Volume One: From Fear Through the Eyes of Madness』以来、ドラマーのJosh Eppardがバンドに復帰し、Michael Todd脱退後不在だったベースにはZach Cooperが加入して制作された。
Billboard 200においては、前作と同じ全米5位を記録した。
