1974年発表の7th。邦題は「眩惑のブロードウェイ」。CD2枚組。
GENESISというよりはピーター・ガブリエルの最高傑作。
ラエルという青年が大都会から魔界?のようなところに迷い込むストーリーに
兄弟の確執とか色々な要素を絡めたもので、
個人的には史上最高のロックオペラだと思う。
歌詞も凄いが、それに劣らず演奏も素晴らしい(特にハケットのギター)。
これでPGが脱退したのが惜しまれる。全英10位。全米41位。

GENESISの全アルバムで、最も好きなアルバムである。
(この「THE LAMB LIES DOWN ON BROADWAY」と「NURSERY CRYME」が最も好きなアルバムである)
なぜ、コメントが少ないのでしょう。
「THE LAMB LIES DOWN ON BROADWAY」「IN THE CAGE」「CARPET CRAWLERS」「ANYWAY」
「IT」が特にお気に入り。
この時のライブもすごくいいよ。(ピーターガブリエルの格好は奇妙だし)
