1991年に発売されたアトコ盤イエスの総決算集。
その割にはモレも多いが、まあ仕方ないか。
「Make it Easy」「Love Conquers All」「Run With the Fox」といった作品も聞けるところが嬉しい。
あまりベストアルバムから入ってくるファンの少ないyesであるが、これは結構いけるんじゃないか?
80年代以降のトレバー・ラビンの頑張りっぷりが光る。

1stから『BIG GENERATOR』までの楽曲全46曲を収録。
帯に「究極のベスト!」ってあるけれど、いや、ああた。BOXセットですから。
なんとなく個人的にはBOXセットを「ベスト」とするのに抵抗を感じてしまう。
上の方もおっしゃっているけれど、YESってベストから入るよりやっぱりアルバムから入ったほうが良いような気がする。だいたい、アルバムトータルで聴いた時に良さがわかる作品が多いし。
で、本BOXセットで気になるのは17曲の未発表曲(未発表ライヴも含む)。その中でも一番聴きたかったのが、1982年のCINEMAのセッション。
まあ、全体的にそれなりに良いんだけれども、やっぱり今でも思う。
「この1万円でオリジナルアルバムが5枚買えたな・・・。」

このアルバムの音源が偶々出て来たので、改めてUSBに録音しながら、聴いてみました。
初めて聴いた時は、ロンリー・ハーツに度肝を抜かしましたが、今では収録して欲しかった曲が幾つかあったり、こわれもの以前の曲も素晴らしく感じました。
